Ms. Tamika Johnson

Ms. Tamika Johnson is an Assistant Professor of English and the coordinator of the Developmental Writing program at Lakeview Community College. She specializes in composition, rhetoric, and developmental education, with a particular focus on supporting first-generation college students in building strong writing skills.

Ms. Johnson developed the college's co-requisite English model, which has doubled the completion rate for developmental writing students. She is a frequent presenter at national conferences on equitable teaching practices and was named the 2025 Faculty Member of the Year by the LCC Faculty Senate.
